Many Louisiana Republicans blame President Obama for Hurricane Katrina response — even though the storm occurred more than 3 YEARS before he took office

A new poll from left-leaning Public Policy Polling showed that 29% of Louisiana GOPers blamed Obama for the sluggish response. Another 28% blamed it on President George W. Bush, who was in office during the storm, while 44% didn't know who to blame.

Nearly a third of Louisiana Republicans think President Obama is to blame for the federal government’s notorious response to Hurricane Katrina, a new poll revealed.
The only problem, of course, is that Katrina, the dreadful 2005 storm that left more than 1,800 people dead and caused more than $100 billion in damage, occurred more than three years before Obama even took office. (The future president was then just eight months into his term as junior senator from Illinois.)
Despite that critical fact, 29% of Republicans in the Bayou State blame Obama for the federal government’s sluggish and sloppy response to the 2005 hurricane, according to left-leaning polling agency Public Policy Polling (PPP).
Another 28% blamed it on President George W. Bush, whose administration oversaw the federal response to the storm, which turned out to be the costliest natural disaster in U.S. history, according to the National Hurricane Center.

The remaining 44% of poll respondents weren’t sure who to blame, the poll results, first published on political website Talking Points Memo, showed.
Bush, as well local government and Federal Emergency Management Agency officials, fell under harsh criticism for their preparedness for and response to the epic storm.

First off, it's not a new poll. It's over a year old. Why did you leave the date out?

DWL Ya think? The question one should be asking is "Why would any polling firm worth its salt deliberately embarass a political party's membership? That should send up a red flag for any honest person.


If a right leaning polling firm was sent to Detroit, Washington DC, Baltimore or Philly, and polled poor Democratic folk in subsidized housing, who are mostly illiterate, uneducated and dependant upon the system, and the polling agenda made them look like fools with loaded questions...you all would be screaming "biased" at the top of your lungs, and with good reason.

And wasn't Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco and former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin Democrats...and Nagin is in jail for bribery and other corruption? Wasn't Nagin and Blanco responsible for the people of New Orleans and Blanco responsible for the rest of Louisiana? But, lets not let the facts get in the way of a good story...lol

It the results embarrassed the Party, not the Polling Firm and if an honest, dishonest or any other person Questioned, then Red Flagged the Poll, it does not materially change the results. It was an actual event and the results are there to see.

So there would be nothing wrong to conduct a Poll among Indians on a Reservation, with the question, who is to blame for the current plight of the Native Americans?

My personal opinion is a poll is inaccurate if it has an agenda or it is unbiased. Its honesty must be questioned.

Again, part of the story is as good as a lie. Why did they not poll Democraps as well as Repugs? AGENDA?
